DATE COMPLETED:

-August 2017

THOUGHTS:
-Despite her small outward appearance, Krul is the queen of Japan and a powerful vampire to be reckoned with. I was immediately drawn to her character, though it took me a few years to finally cosplay her. I made her as a competition piece- trying to use every sewing skill I knew and even picked up a few new ones, such as piping.

PHOTOGRAPHERS:
-Clouds Photography: https://www.facebook.com/cloudsofsandphotography/

CONSTRUCTION:
-Hair bat-wings were sewn from vinyl and pinned to the wig.

-Horns were made by gluing rhinestones onto bobby pins and painting them to match the wig.

-Collar was made from white satin with ribbon and lace details. I added a bat charm for vampiric creative freedom.

-Bodice was made from black satin and lined in crimson cotton sateen. It featured handmade piping and buttons from the NYC garment district. The edges were trimmed in handmade black bias tape and laced up the back with hand-bound eyelets.

-Skirt was made from black and white satin decorated with lace and finished with horsehair braid.

-Sleeves were fully lined and held up with an elastic band. They were decorated with ribbons, trims, and buttons to match the rest of the outfit,

-Gloves were fully lined with black satin and featured the same piping and bias tape as the bodice. Invisible zippers allowed for fit and removal.

-Wig was a Venus and two long clips from Arda Wigs cut and styled by me

-Boots were purchased.

-Scarecrow fangs completed the look.
